The Science
The requirement for higher performance transmission lubricants has increased considerably in recent years due to the introduction of new and sophisticated RV transmission systems. Transmission fluid serves many purposes, including functioning as a hydraulic fluid, heat transfer fluid and lubricating fluid. Over time, with the heavy demands of your RV, varnish and sticky residue (stiction) can form inside a transmission, inhibiting the performance of the fluid.
Our high-performance ester formula in RV Transmission Protector is a unique combination of cleaning and lubricity enhancing chemicals which bond to the metal surfaces inside the transmission. This bonding occurs because of the polarity. The metals inside a transmission are almost always positively charged, while RV Transmission Protector is negatively charged. The strong polarity of the molecules inside RV Transmission Protector pulls the varnish and deposits off the metal surfaces and puts them back into solution. The attachment of RV Transmission Protector to all metals is natural and not dependent upon temperature, pressure or any other factor.
RV Transmission Protector also reduces operating temperature of the transmission due to less friction. reduced operating temperatures help control oxidation and increase the life of the transmission. RV Transmission Protector Formula is made up of esters, which move more freely than oil alone.
